Washington, PA – The Washington Wild Things, presented by Washington Federal Savings Bank, lost to the Richmond Roosters 11-3 Sunday at Falconi Field in Front of 3,038 people. The Rooster victory ends their three game losing streak and the Wild Things' three game winning streak.

Roosters jumped on the train early, scoring four runs in the first inning; their bats continued throughout the game – scoring one in the fifth, four in the seventh and another two in the eighth.

Jared Howton returned to the pitcher's mound following a lengthy lay off. The 2003 Frontier League pitcher of the year returned to action following a shoulder injury in 2003. Howton acted as pitching coach for the Roosters in 2004. The former Wild Thing went five innings with one unearned run, three walks, and no strike outs.

Brendon Davis (LHP), a converted reliever, takes the loss. Davis gave up five runs in five innings – four in the first inning – struck out one and hit one batter.

The Wild Things meet the Roosters at Falconi Field for the third in this series. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. Memorial Day is Paw Patrol Night. The young members will receive a Wild Things' autograph book, courtesy of NSS Life, Highmark, Albert's Meats and Troyer Farms. Tickets are available.
