Rome, GA - Infielder Chad Lundahl has joined the Rome Braves. Lundahl played college baseball at the University CA at Irvine, batted .271 last season and was fourth on the team with 55 hits and 10 doubles. Lundahl was tied for fourth with 65 RBI while totaling 26 runs scored. During his three-year career at UC Irvine, Lundahl batted .239 and amassed 102 hits, including 20 doubles. He also drove in 41 runs and had 49 runs scored.
Catcher Victor Hernandez has been called to Myrtle Beach of the Carolina League. Hernandez played in just five games in Rome.
Rome plays a doubleheader in Savannah tonight that begins an eight game road trip. The Braves return home on Friday September 1st to begin the final four game home stand of the season before the playoffs begin. For ticket information call 706-378-5144.
