JC Rodriguez's hot bat was not enough for the Boulders as Rockland fell to the New Jersey Jackals 7-2 in the first game of a three-game road trip on Tuesday. Rodriguez went 3-5 with one RBI.
The Jackals scored three in the bottom of the first to take the early lead, and then the Boulder's responded by scoring two of their own runs in the top of the second. That, however, would be all they could muster in the game.
The Boulders play game two of the three-game series on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.
