Trois-Rivieres 4, Quebec 2 - Box Score
Seven different Aigles recorded a hit, and the bottom third of the Trois-Rivieres order was a combined 6-for-12 in a 4-2 win over the Capitales. SS Sam Dexter connected on a two-run homer in the second inning, and Trois-Rivieres doubled its lead in the fourth when C Anthony Hermelyn recorded an RBI doubled followed by an RBI single from RF Alberth Martinez.
RHP Kevin McNorton struck out seven and earned the win with 7.1 strong innings. RHP Kyle Halbohn struck out a batter in a scoreless ninth for the save.
Quebec 2B TJ White and SS Yordan Manduley had two hits each.
Ottawa 5, Hollywood 4 - Box Score
C Tyler Nordgren hit a walk-off sacrifice fly in the bottom of the ninth to give the Champions a 5-4 win over the Stars in the series opener at RCGT Park. The sacrifice fly scored CF Chase Harris, who had singled. Ottawa previously scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth to grab a 4-3 lead, as DH Sebastien Boucher hit an RBI single and 1B Vincent Guglietti notched an RBI double.
Guglietti finished his day with three hits, and Boucher had two. LHP Scott Maine earned the win in relief, as he picked up two strikeouts in the top of the ninth.
Hollywood 3B Brian Luebcke had three hits in defeat.
New Jersey 7, Rockland 2 - Box Score
The Jackals plated a run in five of the first six innings and took a 7-2 win over the Boulders at home. CF David Harris hit two home runs in the game for the Jackals, a two-run shot in the first and a solo blast in the fifth. DH Daniel Canela also cleared the fence, hitting a leadoff homer in the sixth inning. Harris, LF Jordan Hinshaw, and RF Nolan Meadows had two hits apiece in the win.
RHP Alberto Rodriguez struck out five over six innings to earn the win for New Jersey.
Rockland SS JC Rodriguez had three hits and an RBI.
Sussex County 14, Salina 1 - Box Score
The Miners pounded out 14 runs on 14 hits to roll over the Stockade 14-1 on Tuesday in Sussex County. RF Rubi Silva opened the scoring for the Miners with a three-run home run in the bottom of the second inning, just the start of a mammoth night for Silva. He finished 3-for-5, a triple shy of the cycle, with five RBI and two runs scored to his name. 3B Martin Figueroa was one of four Miners with two hits, and drove in four runs.
LHP Tyler Alexander fanned eight Stockade hitters in seven innings for the Miners, allowing just one run on four hits and earning the win.
Salina 3B Jeremy Delgado was 2-for-3 in the loss.
