Hickory, NC- Homeruns sunk the Crawdads on Saturday evening as they fell 13-1.
The BlueClaws scored a run in the top of the first off Crawdads starting pitcher Winston Santos.
The 'Dads rallied to tie the game in the bottom half of the inning. Keyber Rodriguez walked and advanced to third on a double by Alejandro Osuna. Cody Freeman hit a deep fly ball to right field that allowed Rodriguez to tag up and score to even the game at 1.
Jersey Shore retook the lead with a run in the top of the second. They added on six homeruns to take a 13-1 lead. The Crawdads were unable to get many runs across.
The series will wrap up tomorrow as the Crawdads celebrate an early Mother's Day. The first 100 moms will receive a carnation thanks to Whitfield's Flowers & More. It is also Church Bulletin Sunday where fans can bring their church bulletins to the ticket office to receive a discounted $6 ticket. The 'Dads will then donate $4 back to the bulletin's respective church thanks to Catawba Shoe Store.
