FRISCO, TEXAS (September 6, 2015) - The Frisco RoughRiders fell to the Midland RockHounds, 7-1, on Sunday evening at Dr Pepper Ballpark in front of 11,813 fans, the fifth-largest crowd in franchise history. Guilder Rodriguez announced his retirement following a single in the seventh inning.

With two outs in the seventh, Rodriguez singled to right field. The RoughRiders' career leader in games played, hits, and stolen bases was removed from the game to a standing ovation from the fans, his teammates, and his opponents. His family met him on field and the game was paused for a special video montage, highlighting the Venezuelan's career.

Midland jumped ahead in the third frame. Jose Leclerc walked three-straight batters after recording two outs to load the bases and Renato Nunez put the Hounds on top, 4-0, with his second grand slam in as many nights.

The RockHounds added two more runs in the fourth. Matt Olson and Josh Whitaker led off with base knocks and scored on a double from Chad Oberacker.

Frisco found the scoreboard in the sixth. Rodriguez walked and later scored on a Preston Beck RBI-single to make it a 6-1 game. Midland countered in the seventh. Colin Walsh worked his third walk of the contest and scored on a single from Nunez.

Dillon Overton (5-2) picked up the win with a scoreless five-inning performance. The lefty allowed four hits and struck out five for Midland. Leclerc (6-8) was dealt the loss in his 4 1/3 innings outing. The right-hander struck out five but allowed six runs on six hits and four walks.
