Pensacola Blue Wahoos News Release
PENSACOLA, Fla. - The Cincinnati Reds Thursday announced that outfielder Yorman Rodriguez has been activated from the disabled list. Rodrigurez was one of the Wahoos hottest hitters when he went down on April 25 with a left oblique strain. He was riding a nine-game hit streak into the injury and raised his average from .184 to .325 over the streak.
In a corresponding move, outfielder Beau Amaral has been transferred to Bakersfield. Amaral played in 10 games with the Wahoos after getting promoted from low Class-A Dayton. He hit .167 with a pair of RBI and a couple of doubles playing mostly centerfield for Pensacola.
Rodriguez is available and in the starting lineup for Thursday's game against the Chattanooga Lookouts.
