
Galloway's Late Blast Helps Suns Beat Biscuits 4-3

MONTGOMERY, AL - Isaac Galloway ripped a go-ahead solo home run in the top of the ninth inning, earning the Jacksonville Suns (16-18) a 4-3 victory over the Montgomery Biscuits (19-15) Thursday night from Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium.
The Suns held a 3-1 lead entering the bottom of the seventh inning, before the Biscuits rallied to tie the game at 3-3 courtesy of a Joey Rickard sacrifice fly and a two-out RBI triple from Ryan Brett.
The game remained tied moving into the top of the ninth until Isaac Galloway (HR, 1) unloaded his first home run of the year with two outs to give the Suns a 4-3 lead.
Justin Nicolino took a no-decision after allowing three runs (all earned) on eight hits in 6.2 innings.
Jheyson Manzueta (W, 2-0) earned the win after working 1.1 innings of scoreless relief, with Nick Wittgren (SV, 3) recording the final three outs to lock down the win.
Andrew Bellatti (L, 1-1) took the loss for the Biscuits, with the only hit he allowed in his two innings of work being Galloway's go-ahead home run in the top of the ninth.
The Suns emerged victorious despite going 0-for-6 with runners in scoring position on Thursday.
Rich Poythress (HR, 4) tied Ryan Fisher for the team lead in home runs after hitting a solo home run in the top of the fourth inning.
The Suns and Biscuits will be back at it on Friday at Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium, with first pitch scheduled for 8:05 p.m. ET. Jacksonville sends out the righty Jose Urena (2-2, 5.85) for Friday's series finale, while Montgomery will counter with a right-hander of their own in Matt Neil (1-1, 7.98).
