Rodewald Returned to Solar Bears by Marlies

ORLANDO, Fla. - The Orlando Solar Bears, proud affiliate of the NHL's Toronto Maple Leafs and AHL's Toronto Marlies, have announced that forward Jack Rodewald has been reassigned to the Solar Bears by the Toronto Marlies.

Rodewald, 21, returns to the Solar Bears after being recalled to Toronto for the second time this season on Dec. 13. In 22 games with the Solar Bears, Rodewald has recorded 16 points (4g-12a) and 11 penalty minutes, and has played in five games in his two stints with Toronto.

The Solar Bears host the Florida Everblades in a Wawa Sunshine Cup Series game as they continue their fourth season in the ECHL, presented by Auto Justice Attorney Michael T. Gibson, P.A. on Saturday, Jan. 2 at 7:00 p.m. at the Amway Center.

Saturday's game is also the first game in Orlando's Hockey Fights Cancer Weekend festivities, as the Solar Bears will wear specialty pink jerseys, and the first 3,000 fans in attendance will receive a Hockey Fights Cancer puck presented by Florida Hospital. Saturday's game will also be televised live on WKMG-TV News 6.
