
Rockland Wins Sixth in a Row, Handles Worcester 12-3

(Ramapo, N.Y.) - Jon Velasquez pitched six innings, giving up one run on five hits as the Rockland Boulders won their sixth straight game, 12-3 over the Worcester Tornadoes on Friday night at Provident Bank Park.
Rockland scored four runs in the first inning off Tornadoes' starter Walker McKinven, including RBI's by Phil Cuadrado, Ryan Scoma, Billy Alvino and Cole Kraft.
That four run frame knocked McKinven out of the game and the Tornadoes used eight different pitchers over their eight defensive innings, including two position players, Tony Patane and Cam Kneeland.
The Boulders (32-27) are now a season-high five games over .500 and currently stand only a game and a half behind New Jersey for second-place in the Can-Am League.
Rockland looks to take the third game of this four game set Saturday at 7 p.m. with Pat Moran on the mound.
Saturday there will be a Fireworks Extravaganza Pyromusical after the game, presented by RSSM, LLP.
It's also Christmas in July Night as the ballpark will be decorated for the holiday season.
