New York Boulders News Release
(Ramapo NY) In the first ever meeting between the two organizations, the T-Bones exploded for eight runs in an 8-2 win over the Boulders.
Kansas City took control early as the T-Bones strung together four runs in the top of the third off of Boulders starter Pat Moran. An RBI single from Lee Cruz started the scoring streak for KC followed by a three-run home run from Ray Sadler that made the tally 4-0 T-Bones.
Things would continue to go in Kansas City's favor in the top of the fourth when Hunter Mense hit a solo shot off of Moran to make it 5-0 T-Bones. Kansas City added another two runs in the inning to make the score 7-0 at the end of four.
Rockland found the scoreboard in the bottom of the fifth when Landis Wilson drove in Ryan Mollica on an RBI single. Wilson entered the game for the Boulders at catcher when Billy Alvino moved to first and Ryan Scoma to right field due to an apparent injury to Qualon Millender.
After surrendering one run in the top of the sixth to make it 8-1 Kansas City, Pat Moran exited the game giving up eight runs on ten hits in five and one third innings and was dealt the loss.
Ryan Mollica would add one run in the bottom of the ninth on a solo shot to left field to make the final 8-2.
Rockland takes on Kansas City tomorrow for game two of the three game set at 7 p.m. Don't miss the post-game fireworks spectacular and come out for day two of Western weekend. Get your tickets at the Provident Bank Park box office or by clicking tickets at the top of the page.
