As the Rockford IceHogs schedule heats up, so does the team. The IceHogs had its first three-game week of the 2006-07 regular season and the club came away with five of six points backed by solid goaltending and a tight defense. The IceHogs allowed only five regulation goals in the three games. Rockford has three more games on the docket for Week 7 including a home-and-home series with the archrival Quad City Mallards and another home tilt against the Fort Wayne Komets.

After losing its first two home games, the IceHogs are unbeaten in its last five contests at the MetroCentre (4-0-1). ï‚-

The IceHogs and PrairieThunder combined for an IceHogs season-low 16 penalty minutes on Friday. Rockford totaled a season-low six PIM's. ï‚-

In three games last week, the IceHogs had a total of just 37 penalty minutes. ï‚-

Goalie Frederic Cloutier allowed just two goals on 56 shots in his two wins during Week 6. Cloutier finished with a save percentage of .964.

Rockford has played seven home games thus far this season and all but one has drawn a crowd of at least 3,600 or more. ï‚-

The IceHogs will welcome its 1-millionth fan this weekend.

Rookie winger Kaleb Betts leads the IceHogs with eight goals and three multi-goal games. His goal total ranks him fourth among UHL rookies. ï‚-

The IceHogs penalty kill has allowed just two goals in the last four games on 25 shorthanded situations, a kill rate of 92.0%.

Hot Hog Week 6:

Center Preston Mizzi continues his offensive contributions as he accumulated 2g-3a-5pts for the IceHogs as the team went 2-0-1 during the three-game week.

Upcoming Games:

Wednesday, Nov. 22 at Quad City Mallards. The battle begins at 7p.m. The IceHogs open the front end of a home-and-home series with the Quad City Mallards on Thanksgiving Eve. The game is Rockford's second at the MARK of the Quad Cities.

Friday, Nov. 24 vs. Quad City Mallards. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. The first 1,000 fans to the game that are 21-and-older will receive a Free IceHogs Jersey Koozie courtesy of Bud Light and WIFR 23. Also, the Hogs and the Salvation Army are teaming up for their annual Food Drive. Each fan that brings a can of food to the game will receive a free $9 ticket voucher to the Wednesday, Dec. 13 game vs. Bloomington.

Saturday, Nov. 25 vs. Fort Wayne Komets. Game time is 7:05 p.m. Rockford wraps up rivaly week with another showdown with the Koemts at the MetroCentre. The game is also the end of five of six contests at home. The first 1,000 fans to the game on Saturday will receive an IceHogs T-shirt courtesy of Blackhawk Communications, Belvidere Auto Maintenance, Cost Cutters and B103.

IceHogs To Welcome 1-Millionth Fan:

The Rockford IceHogs are getting set to welcome its 1-millionth fan and you could be the one! The lucky fan to earn the disctinction of 1-million will win a prize packages courtesy of the Chicago-Rockford International Airport, Bud Light and the IceHogs. The exclusive prize package includes round trip airfair for two to Denver, hotel accomodations, tickets to a Colorado Avalanche (NHL) game, a tour of the Budweiser Brewery in Fort Collins and season tickets for the remaining IceHogs regular season games in 2006-07.

Rockford IceHogs fans can catch all IceHogs Regular and Post Season games on Rockford's Voice, WNTA-AM 1330. Fans can also watch and listen to the Hogs on the World Wide Web with the B2 Networks! Log on to the IceHogs Web site (icehogs.com) and click on the "click here to watch the game live" icon, and for just $6, you can catch all of the IceHogs action on your computer. Once again this season, ESPN"ˆRadio "The Jock" 1380 AM will broadcast 20 Hogs games during the regular season. Check your local listings for game times and dates. Also, fans with Insight Cable television can tune in to Channel 57 for all the IceHogs hockey action this season. The broadcast begins with the Pregame Show 30 minutes before the puck drops. HogTalk Returns Tonight At Shooter's North:

Bud Light HogTalk returns this week to Shooter's North located at 7742 Forest Hills Road in Loves Park from 7-8 p.m. WXRX's Jim Stone and Double T host the weekly show and this week they will be joined by IceHogs skaters Matt Gens and Mike Doyle and IceHogs Head Coach Steve Martinson. Come sign up for prizes, meet some IceHogs players and chat Hogs hockey at Shooter's North!
