The Kelowna Rockets went 3-for-10 on the powerplay en route to a 5-1 win over the Blazers on Saturday night at Prospera Place.
Stepan Novotny put the Rockets up 1-0 early in the first period before Kenton Dulle tied the game early in period two. The Rockets then struck twice on the powerplay with goals from Kyle St. Denis and Jamie Benn and took a 3-1 lead into the third. Evan Bloodoff and Colin Long then put the game away with goals in the final frame.
Shots were 43-15 Rockets with Adam Brown getting the win and Justin Leclerc taking the loss. The Blazers finished the night 0-for-9 with the man advantage.
