For the second time in less than a week, the Kelowna Rockets made a third-period comeback to defeat the Vancouver Giants 4-3 at Prospera Place on Thursday night.

With the win, the Rockets win streak is now at four games.

Kelowna fell behind early, allowing two goals in the first ten minutes of the game. Heading into the final period down 3-2, Jake Lee and Alex Swetlikoff scored to lift the Rockets. Roman Basran stopped 22 of the 25 shots fired on him to win his third game of the season.

Zack Ostapchuk (5,6) scored twice for the Giants within the first ten minutes of the game. Dillon Hamaliuk (4) pulled the Rockets within one with his third power play goal of the season.

Early in the second Turner McMillen (1) tied up the game. The son of former Tacoma Rockets captain, Dave McMillen, took off on a short handed breakaway, beating Trent Miner glove side. Bryce Bader (4) restored the Giants lead before the midway point of the period.

Jake Lee (2) walked in on the power play to tie up the game. Alex Swetlikoff (4) pulled the Rockets ahead with 1:33 to go in the game.

Miner turned aside 22 of the 26 shots fired on him.

The Rockets power play went two-for-three on the night, while the Giants were shut down all four times with the man advantage.

Kelowna outshot Vancouver 26-25.

The Rockets record is now 7-2-0-0.

Andrew Cristall, Noah Dorey, John Babcock, Ethan Ernst, Jackson DeSouza and Nicholas Cristiano were the Rockets scratches.

Cheryl Kovacevic was the winner of the Rockets 50/50, taking home $325 of the total pot of $650 with the winning number of #E-1195341.

The Rockets will be back in action tomorrow when they kick off a home and home series against the Kamloops Blazers, puck drop is set for 7:05 pm at Prospera Place.
