The Kelowna Rockets have won the first two games of a six game road trip through the WHL East division, moving two games over.500.
The Rockets handed the Regina Pats a 9-5 loss Wednesday night in a wild game that featured big momentum changes.
Kelowna led 2-0 after the first period and 7-3 after the second period before the Pats scored two straight to cut the lead to 7-5. Shane McColgan restored a three goal lead for the Rockets with his third goal of the game while Brandon McMillan scored his second of the game to make the final 9-5.
Geordie Wudrick scored twice while other markers came from Max Adolph and Cody Chikie.
There was no shortage of offense in the game as the teams fired plenty of shots at both goaltenders. The Rockets Adam Brown faced 44 shots to earn his 16th win of the season.
The Rockets improve to 17-15-1-0 on the season.
Kelowna has a day off before its next game of six straight on the road on Friday against Brandon.
