BAYSOX TO CELEBRATE JULY 4TH ONE NIGHT EARLY!
Since the Baysox won't be home on Independence Day, the team will kick off the holiday weekend with a July 4th celebration on Thursday, July 3rd! In addition to celebrating America, the Baysox will also attempt to break another WORLD RECORD! Fans will have the opportunity to shatter the current record for most people sitting on whoopee cushions at one time, as the Baysox hope to rattle the outfield walls with mass flatulation. For obvious reasons, B&M Baked Beans will provide the first 2,500 fans with their very own whoopee cushions.
Don't miss the SPECTACULAR Pre-Independence Day FIREWORKS SHOW following the game-- the Baysox and Prince George's Stadium boast the BEST FIREWORKS DISPLAY around!

BAYSOX LOOK TO REBOUND FROM FOUR-GAME LOSING STREAK
After winning the final game of a season-long nine-game homestand that ended last week, and then the first game or a four-game series in Erie, the Baysox have dropped their last four games by just a single run. On the bright side, Mike Fontenot has extended his hitting streak to 15 games and has now reached base safely in 34 consecutive games. He is two games shy of equaling the longest hitting streak in Baysox history. In addition to losing a couple of heartbreakers lately, Bowie has also lost two of their better performers from the season's first half as Matt Riley (pictured left) and Tim Raines, Jr. have both been promoted to AAA Ottawa. Riley made his first start for the Lynx on Monday, allowing six hits and four runs in five innings, and received a no-decision. Bowie will look to snap their four-game losing streak as they wrap-up a three-game series against New Haven on Wednesday and Thursday, before heading to Harrisburg for three games over the weekend.
