Toronto Rock News Release
The Toronto Rock have seen a different type of season this year, one filled with adversity and change. However, despite starting off the season with a 2-4 record, the team has now clinched the Eastern Division title. The Rock are coming off successful weekend of wins against the Bandits. Last Friday night, they played in front of 18,809 fans, the Rock's first sellout crowd of the 2004 season.
"The crowds at the ACC have consistently grown every game this season; last year we averaged 16,500 fans per game and it looks as though that will increase again this year. We have an incredible fan base that supports us every game and that's something that is key a winning team." Brad Watters, Toronto Rock President.
Having won the last 8 games in a row, a Rock franchise record, the team has earned themselves a bye through the quarter finals and will host the Eastern Division finals. The Rock's first appearance in this year's playoffs will take place on either Saturday April 24th or Sunday April 25th at the Air Canada Centre. Tickets for the Semi-finals are now on sale through Ticketmaster outlets and the Rock offices. Single game prices range from $21-$53 for adults and $11-$53 for youth (under 17). Group tickets can also be purchased for as little as $9 for youth (under17) and $18 for adults.
The Rock still have 2 regular season games left to play and although they have a bye through the first round, their performance in the next two games will have a great impact on their sixth run at the Champions Cup.
