Wings Fans Can Watch Playoff Fate Live on CN8 This Saturday
March 31, 2004 - National Lacrosse League (NLL)
Philadelphia Wings News Release
The Philadelphia Wings (6-8) and Rochester Knighthawks (6-8) will battle it out live in a must-win situation live on CN8, The Comcast Network, this SATURDAY, April 3, 7:30 PM/ET. The winner of this match-up will advance to the National Lacrosse League Playoffs.
"This is such a critical game and we felt it was important to get it televised," said Wings President Russ Cline. "We are fortunate that CN8 is able to show this crucial game to our fans."
The Wings could move as high as second place if they defeat the Buffalo Bandits the following day on Sunday, April 4 at HSBC Arena (in Buffalo, NY). The top three teams in each division in the NLL qualify for the playoffs, with the number one and number two seeds hosting home games. Therefore, the Wings could host a home game with two wins this weekend.
The Philadelphia Wings are owned and operated by Philadelphia Wings L.P., whose principal owners are Russ Cline, Chris Fritz and Michael French. Comcast-Spectacor serves as the marketing, promotional, advertising, sponsorship and publicity arm of the Wings.
