New Britain, CT - The New Britain Rock Cats of the Eastern League made three roster moves today.

Details:

INF Michael Hollimon, the 29-year-old switch-hitting middle Infielder who has big league experience with the Detroit Tigers, has been promoted to Rochester in the International League. The Dallas, TX resident has been a valuable member of the 2011 Rock Cats as he provided both on-field production and leadership in the clubhouse. The 6'1"/185-pound University of Texas product appeared in 74 games for New Britain this season, played both Infield and Outfield positions, and hit .218 with a team-leading 12 HRs.

LHP Andrew Albers, the 25-year-old reliever from Saskatchewan, Canada, is rejoining the Rock Cats after a brief stint with Ft. Myers in the Florida State League. The 6'1"/185-pound southpaw had previously made five appearances for the 2011 Rock Cats and posted a 2-0 record and a 3.52 ERA.

RHP Bruce Pugh, the 23-year-old hard throwing reliever from Pasadena, MD, has been returned to Ft. Myers in the Florida State League. The 6'3"/180-pound hurler spent two stints in New Britain this year and returns to the Miracle with an Eastern League W-L mark of 0-3 with 4 Saves and a 9.00 ERA. He made 12 AA appearances for the Rock Cats.

All three players will be with their new teams in time for tonight's action.
