ONE MONTH TOO LATE FOR PETER MAYHEW: The Red Wings finished June with a 15-14 record, the first winning record in a calendar month since going 17-15 in August 2009...Rochester started the month 7-2, but went 8-12 the rest of the way.
HAN SOLO SHOT: Danny Valencia's solo blast to lead off the 2nd was the Red Wings' first home run in 7 games...it was the team's first since Valencia's 8th-inning solo homer June 23 vs. Charlotte (White Sox)...he is tied with Matt Carson and Clete Thomas for the team lead with 6.
R(EDWINGS)2-D(ANNY)2: Danny Valencia homered twice for his 4th multi-homer game of his pro career, his 2nd of the season...he also hit 2 homers June 23 vs. Charlotte...the multi-homer game was the 4th for the Red Wings, who also got 2-homer efforts from Michael Hollimon May 29 at Charlotte and Matt Carson June 17 at Louisville (Reds).
JABBA THE HITT MACHINE: Michael Hollimon has hit safely in a season-high 9 straight games, batting .391 (9-for-23).
