YOU ARE THE WIND BENEATH MY WINGS: The Rochester Red Wings tonight wrap up their 2-game series and roadtrip at Pawtucket (Red Sox) and will hop on their Covered Wagon busses for an over-night ride back to Rochester. The Red Wings tomorrow start a 6-game homestand with the first of 3 against Pawtucket. Then it's 3 against Lehigh Valley (Phillies) at Frontier Field Saturday-Sunday in the final series before the All-Star Break.

a The Red Wings and IronPigs play a doubleheader Sunday, the last day of action before the All-Star Break. Gametime is 12:05 p.m. The doubleheader is due to an April 21 rainout at Frontier Field.

a Time Warner Cable Sports will broadcast live tomorrow's and Thursday's games. Thursday's contest will be simulcast on New England Sports Network (NESN) throughout New England.

TIMES ARE TOUGH: The Red Wings have lost 4 of their last 5, 5 of their last 7, and 6 of their last 9. Rochester is 9-13 since a season-best 4-game winning streak June 6-9. The Wings haven't won more than 2 games in a row since that 4-game streak, which tied a season high from May 3-5. Rochester is 24-23 beginning May 15, however, after opening the season 14-23.

a Each of the Red Wings' last 4 games have been decided by 2 runs or less. The club is 1-3 in those contests. Rochester is 23-24 in games decided by 2 runs or less overall.

a With yesterday's 2-1 loss at Pawtucket, the Red Wings fell to 11-11 in one-run games, including a 2-5 mark away from Frontier Field.

ROAD WOES: The Red Wings are an International League-worst 11-25 on the road, a record that doesn't include a 4-4 mark at Frontier Field as the "road" team against Empire State. Rochester has won just 2 road series, sweeping a 2-game series at Syracuse (Nationals) to open the season and taking 3 of 4 at Louisville (Reds) June 14-17. The Wings are 2-7-1 in 10 road series overall.

PEDRO VOTED FOR: Shortstop Pedro Florimon on Wednesday was selected to the International League All-Star team, which will host the Pacific Coast League All-Stars July 11 at Buffalo's Coca-Cola Field. Florimon is the lone Red Wings' representative and he will back up starter Pedro Ciriaco of Pawtucket. The Twins claimed Florimon off waivers from the Orioles December 5, 2011.

IN NEED OF A PICK-ME-UP: Red Wings' starting pitchers are winless in the last 7 games, going 0-3 with a 3.94 ERA (14 ER/32.0 IP) in that time. The most-recent win by a starter came June 25, when Cole De Vries defeated Charlotte (White Sox) at Frontier Field.

a Red Wings' starters are just 4-10 with a 5.86 ERA (64 ER/98.1 IP) in 22 games beginning June 10, the day after Liam Hendriks's last start with the club before getting recalled to Minnesota. Rochester starters are 21-27 with a 4.10 ERA (190 ER/417.0 IP) overall.

THE REAL MCCOY: The Red Wings have lost 3 games in a row at McCoy Stadium, but that is not the club's longest losing streak at a road venue. That distinction goes to Buffalo's (Mets) Coca-Cola Field, where the Wings have lost 9 straight games. Rochester hasn't won there since the 2nd game of an April 19, 2011 doubleheader, a 2-0 triumph in 7 innings. The Red Wings won't get another crack at ending that streak until a 4-game series August 26-28.
