
Tuesday's Game Suspended, Will Resume on Thursday

(Lawrenceville, GA) - The Charlotte Knights and Gwinnett Braves were unable to complete the finale of their four-game series on Tuesday from Coolray Field due to inclement weather.
Tuesday's game started at 7:15 p.m., but it never made it past the second inning as rain began to fall. After a one hour and 12-minute rain delay, the 0-0 game was officially suspended before the start of the bottom of the second inning.
The game will resume at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday, July 5th at Knights Stadium and will be a nine-inning game, played to completion. Approximately 30 minutes after the completion of the game, the Knights and Braves will play their originally scheduled game, which will be a seven-inning affair.
Charlotte will be the road team when the suspended game is resumed from Knights Stadium on Thursday. The Knights will be the home team in the originally scheduled matchup. Thursday's game features Thirsty Thursday with $1 beers and $1 sodas, courtesy of Hickory Tavern.
The Knights will now make the trek back to Knights Stadium for their Annual Fourth of July game on Wednesday. The exciting July 4th game features the largest fireworks show in the Southeast, thanks to News Talk 1110 WBT and 107.9 The Link! First pitch of Wednesday's game is set for 7:15 p.m. Gates will open at 5:00 p.m.
A limited number of tickets for Wednesday's game at Knights Stadium are still available. Fans interested in securing last minute tickets to Wednesday's game are encouraged to purchase tickets by logging-on to www.charlotteknights.com.
To purchase tickets in-person or by phone, fans can stop by the Knights Ticket Office, located at Knights Stadium, or call 704-357-8071 (North Carolina) or 803-548-8050 (South Carolina) beginning at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday.
