That record includes a 4-4 mark as the "road" team against Empire State (Yankees), which is sharing the downtown ballpark this season as PNC Field in Moosic, PA undergoes renovation. Since losing 2 of their first 5 series at Frontier, the Red Wings have lost just one of their last 10 sets along Morrie Silver Way. They dropped 3 of 4 vs. Durham (Rays) June 18-21.

PEDRO! PEDRO! PEDRO!: Shortstop Pedro Florimon will be the Red Wings' lone representative at the Triple-A All-Star Game Wednesday. The game at Buffalo's (Mets) Coca-Cola Field features the IL All-Stars and the Pacific Coast League All-Stars. With starting shortstop Pedro Ciriaco of Pawtucket being promoted to the Red Sox, Florimon could wind up as the starter.

a Florimon has hit safely in 6 of his last 7 games, batting .321 (9-for-28) with 4 doubles and 5 RBI. The 25-year-old switch hitter has started at shortstop in 58 of the Red Wings' 60 games since being promoted from Double-A New Britain May 7.
