TODAY'S GAME: This afternoon, the Buffalo Bisons take on the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Yankees in the second of a two-game series at Alliance Bank Stadium in Syracuse, NY (2:00 p.m.). The Bisons are coming off a 7-6 comeback win against the Yankees last night. Today's game will conclude the first half of the Bisons season.

vs. YANKEES: The Bisons are 4-4 against Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season. This is the second time the Herd has faced the Yankees this year as the road team. Buffalo was the visiting team as the clubs split a four-game set at Coca-Cola Field, May 24-27. This series is being played in Syracuse because of the construction of the Yankees new ballpark and the planning for the 25th Annual Triple-A All-Star Game back in Buffalo.

MCHUGH : RHP COLLIN MCHUGH is making his fifth start as a Bison and his first against the IL North division. McHugh is coming off his best start with Buffalo, a no-decision last Tuesday where he struck out a season-high 10 batters in six innings of work.

LOEWEN: OF ADAM LOEWEN continues his hot bat since returning with Buffalo on July 4. Last night, he went 2-4 with a run scored, a double, two RBI and a walk. In his three games since coming back Loewen is 5-12 (.417) with a home run, double, five RBI and two walks. He also has a five-game hitting streak dating back to mid-April, before he went on the Disabled List.

ALL-STAR EVENTS: The Triple-A Home Run Derby and All-Star game will be held in Buffalo. The Home Run Derby is tomorrow night at 7p.m. and the All-Star game is Wednesday night at 7 p.m. INF VALENTINO PASCUCCI will be representing the Bisons in the Home Run Derby and the All-Star game along with RHP MATT HARVEY and RHP FERNANDO CABRERA.

BISONS BITS: OF MATT DEN DEKKER hit his fifth home run for the Bisons last night. He now has 13 home runs and 42RBI between Binghamton (AA) and Buffalo this year...LHP JUSTIN HAMPSON pitched in his first game last night with the Herd since June 24, converting his third save of the season...RHP MANNY ACOSTA has retired the first batter he's faced in all 12 of his games.

METS UPDATE : The Mets (46-39) beat the Cubs yesterday afternoon by a 3-1 score. Former Bisons INF JORDANY VALDESPIN and INF IKE DAVIS both homered. RHP DILLON GEE pitched eight innings of one-run ball to earn the win. New York hosts Chicago for the last game before the All-Star break at 1:10 p.m. at Citi Field.
