RHP Wily Peralta (0-2, 4.81) vs. TBA
FIRST HALF SURGE: The Red Wings pitching staff combined to hold Worcester to just one hit Sunday afternoon in the 1-0 win...this marked the first time Wings pitching had hurled a one-hit shutout at home since 2016...the WooSox lone hit came in the first inning which was then followed by eight hitless innings by the Wings pitching staff...with the win, Rochester won their fourth game of the series, clinching their third series win of the year...the Wings travel down the Thruway to take on Buffalo, aiming to collect their third consecutive series win against Toronto's top affiliate...RHP WILY PERALTA gets the nod for Rochester in game one of the six game set.
SIX-MAN SHOW: With Sunday's pitching efforts, the Wings recorded their first one-hit shutout in front of the Rochester faithful since 6/28/16, when they did so against Boston's Top Affiliate, the then-Pawtucket Red Sox...the last contest included RHP Jose Berrios, RHP Marcus Walden, and RHP Trevor May.
CLIMBING THE LADDER: Since 4/12, the Red Wings have posted the fourth-highest batting average in the International League (.275, 255-for-926)...their 58 doubles over this span is good enough to rank 6th...
Over the entire 2023 season, Rochester ranks 17th (307) among IL teams in the hit column.
THE GREAT BUFFALO BAKE OFF: The Red Wings take on the Buffalo Bisons today, the second series of the season against their Thruway rivals...Rochester's offense has posted a mark of .342 (75-for-219) against Buffalo with eight home runs in six games...

Coming into the series, Wings starters ranked 13th in the IL with a 5.80 ERA (85 ER/132.0 IP) in 31 games played.
NEW GUY CAN STAY: New Wings relief pitcher RHP AMOS WILLINGHAM made his Triple-A debut on Sunday, working 1.1 scoreless innings while striking out three...Willingham is the fourth player to make his Triple-A debut with the Wings this season (Ferrer, Irvin, Baker)...
The Georgia native has not allowed an earned run through his first 11 appearances this season (10 games with HBG), allowing just six hits while striking out 17 and walking one.
EFFICIENT HITS: After Rochester scattered their five hits among five different batters, Sunday's finale marked their first game without a multi-hit performance since 4/28 vs. St. Paul (13 games)...this was the series-low in hits for Rochester, snapping a four-game streak of double-digit hits...
The Wings' five hits are the fewest in a Red Wings' win since they defeated a first-place Norfolk team on 4/19 using the same number. ¬â¹
PITCHER'S BEST FRIEND: The Wings turned three double-plays in Sunday's contest, the most in a single game this year...the last time Rochester turned three double-plays over nine innings was 9/7/22, in a win at Syracuse...
In the Mother's Day contest, all three double-plays turned by the Wings were started by SS RICHIE MARTIN.
