CALL THE WAMBULANCE: Rochester extended their franchise-record losing streak to 14 games after dropping Thursday afternoon's contest, 6-5, in Columbus...RHP Sterling Sharp picked up the loss, going three innings, allowing five runs on three hits while striking out three Clippers...RHP Curtis Taylor, RHP Patrick Murphy and RHP Matt Brill came on in relief and allowed just one earned run on three hits, punching out six batters in the process...the Wings offense had 13 knocks in the loss with DH Riley Adams, 1B John Nogowski and 3B Jake Alu logging multi-hit performances, all of the two-hit variety...CF Cole Freeman and 2B Jake Noll also poked multiple knocks with three apiece...RHP Jefry Rodriguez will toe the rubber today for the Wings as they look to snap their 14-game skid.

14-GAME WOES: During this 14-game skid, the Wings have been outscored 95-54, including being shut out three separate times...the Wings have tied or outhit their opponent in seven of the 14 games...

Five losses have been of the one-run variety

Seven losses have come with at least a three-run margin

ROCK & NOLL: 2B Jake Noll went 3-for-5 with two doubles, an RBI and two runs yesterday, good for his 26th multi-hit game of the season...in 2021, Noll logged 38 multi-hit games and 41 in 2019, both in 118 games...the Florida-native's two doubles on Thursday marks the third time this season he has poked multiple doubles in a contest...the second baseman hit two doubles just once in 2021...Noll's three hits yesterday tie his season-high (2x).

Noll has logged 184 multi-hit performances in his seven-year career, 32 of the 3-hit variety.

THIS TRAIN RUNS ON COLE: CF Cole Freeman went 3-for-4 with two runs scored and a walk, tying his season-high hits (3x)...Freeman has yet to reach his career-high hits (4) this season which he has accomplished five times in his professional career (2018, 2019, 2021)...the former LSU Tiger has recorded two three-hit games in his last three appearances after not registering one since 5/11...the center fielder is batting .500 (6-for-12) since returning from the All-Star break.

RBI-LEY ADAMS: DH Riley Adams went 2-for-5 with a double and four RBI, earning his 10th XBH since joining the Wings on July 1 (16 G, 61 ABs)...Adams' four-RBI performance marks his season-high across both levels (WSH and ROC) and was the first time he has done so since 4/25/2019 (w/ DUN), having accomplished the four-RBI feat now four different times in his professional career...Adams' 10 RBI in 16 games puts him on pace to eclipse his 17 RBI in 36 games which he accomplished in 2021.

PAINT IT, BLACK: The Red Wings collected 13 hits in last night's contest, compared to just six from Columbus but still fell short in the run column, losing 6-5...the Wings are now 32-14 when outhitting their opponent this season...

- 10 of Rochester's 13 knocks were singles, while the other three were doubles...the Wings rank sixth in the International League this season with 869 hits, but rank 17th and tied for ninth in home runs and doubles, respectively.

NO LONG BALL, NO FUN: The Wings' current home run drought has been extended to five games, the longest of the year after keeping the ball in the yard Thursday afternoon...Rochester ranks 17th among 20 International League teams in the long ball category...the active roster accounts for 41 of the Wings' 93 home runs they've totaled this year with 2B Jake Noll leading the charge with nine.

TAYLOR MADE: After allowing runs to score in each of his last two outings (7/27 & 7/30), RHP Curtis Taylor pitched two scoreless innings in last night's loss to Columbus...the Canadian-born reliever pitched two full innings, allowing one runner to reach base on a walk while striking out five...among all Red Wings relievers this season with at least 10 innings pitched, Taylor (19.1 IP) ranks second in WHIP with a 0.72, behind only former Wing, Carl Edwards Jr. (0.49 WHIP in 14.1 IP)

TAKE TWO IBU-BULLPEN FOR RELIEF: In yesterday's contest, the Rochester bullpen tossed 5.0 innings, allowing just one earned run, scattering three hits while striking out six Clippers in the process...the Wings' pen yesterday allowed the lone earned run through their first three games of August...they have allowed the fewest homers (35) among International League teams while striking out the fourth-most batters (536) as a group...Red Wings relievers are tied for the second-lowest batting average against as opponents post a .230 clip (395-for-1718) against.

EL JEFE: RHP Jefry Rodriguez gets the nod for the Wings tonight in his 10th start of the season and his first start since June 24, coming on in relief in seven games since then...across those seven relief appearances (6/30-7/29), Rodriguez punched out 20 batters across 17.0 innings of work, good for a 10.6 K/9 compared to his 8.7 K/9 when he starts the ballgame (30 K, 31.0 IP)...the Dominican-native has only allowed two earned runs in his last four appearances (9.0 IP).
