I MISS HOMERING: The Wings' current home run drought has been extended to four games, the longest of the year...Rochester ranks 17th among 20 International League teams in the long ball category...the active roster accounts for 41 of the Wings' 93 home runs they've totaled this year with 2B Jake Noll leading the charge with nine.

WE NEED MORE COWBELLS DOUBLE PLAYS: The Wings pitching staff has only induced five double plays in their last 13 games, with those five coming in three different contests...Rochester's arms are tied second fewest GIDP, inducing just 56 double plays this season.

KEEP IT "100": OF Andrew Stevenson recorded his 100th hit of the season with his 5th inning double last night...after going 0-for-17 (7/24-7/29), the former LSU Tiger is 2-for-9 with a double and a run scored in his last two games...before his two-bagger last night, Stevenson went 29-straight plate appearances without recording an extra-base hit...Stevenson's 100 knocks and 25 doubles are good for seventh and second (Tied-2), respectively, in the International League...this is Stevenson's 5th season in which he's logged 100 hits and his second at the Triple-A level (2019, FRE).

LE-ON ME: RHP Daniel Ponce de Leon logged five innings of work in last night's loss, punching out seven Clippers while allowing just two earned runs on three hits...the California-native's seven punch outs marks the fourth time this season (16 games) that he has struck out seven or more in an outing (most: 12 w/ TAC)...last night was the sixth time that Ponce de Leon allowed three or fewer hits in a start this season.

JECKSSON, FLOOR IT!: SS Jecksson Flores logged his 12th multi-hit game of the season last night, going 2-for-3 with a double, a run scored and a walk...since the start of the Wings' 13-game skid on 7/16, Flores has the third-best batting average (.333, 7-for-21), as well as the third-most doubles (2) and runs scored (4) on the club over that stretch.

NEW GUY ALERT: 1B John Nogowski made his Red Wing debut in last night's game, going 2-for-4 in the loss to Columbus...this marks his 13th multi-hit game this season and his first since 7/14 with Double-A Harrisburg...the Red Wings are the fifth Triple-A team Nogowski has played for since 2019...in 222 games at the Triple-A level, the Florida-native has collected 44 multi-hit games.

ROCK & NOLL: 2B Jake Noll went 2-for-5 with an RBI last night, good for his 25th multi-hit game of the season...across the Florida-native's last 100 plate appearances (since 6/29), he is batting .280 (26-for-93) with three homers, a triple, three doubles, 13 RBI and 12 runs scored...if Noll plays tonight, it will be his 645th Minor League game he's appeared in.

BULLY-PEN: In last night's contest, the Rochester bullpen tossed 4.2 innings without allowing an earned run, scattering just three hits while striking out four Clippers in the process...the Wings' pen has allowed an International League-fewest long balls (34) while striking out the fourth-most batters (530) amongst relievers...Red Wings relievers are tied-fourth in lowest batting average against (.231, 392-for-1699).

THE ROCHESTER CONNECT: The Rochester Red Wings will face off against two Rochester-area products in Ernie Clement and Adam Scott who suit up for Columbus...Clement, a Brighton-native, was recently optioned by Cleveland (8/2), appearing in 58 games for the Guardians...Scott, a Canandaigua-native, threw in relief last night against the Wings, logging 0.1 inning allowing a hit and two walks.

SHARPEN UP: The Wings will send RHP Sterling Sharp to the mound this afternoon, looking to pick up their first win since July 15 against Omaha...in day-games this season, the Michigan-native has made five appearances (four starts), accumulating a 5.60 ERA (17.2 IP/11 ER) versus a 6.85 ERA (46.0 IP/35 ER) when pitching at night...Rochester will look to improve to 6-7 in games started by the right-hander, with the offense producing 5.08 runs per game in those outings.
