MAKE IT STOP: The Rochester Red Wings dropped their 18th-straight contest, 11-4, to the Tides last night...RHP Daniel Ponce de Leon tossed 1.2 innings and allowed four runs on three hits and a walk...RHP Curtis Taylor, RHP Jefry Rodriguez, RHP Matt Brill, RHP Tyler Clippard (ML-Rehab), and RHP Reed Garrett came on in relief and allowed seven runs on nine hits and four walks with each run being credited to Rodriguez...the Wings' offense was held to just four hits with each going for extra bases...C Riley Adams, LF Andrew Stevenson and CF Alex Call all blasted homers with 3B Jake Alu poking a two-bagger...RHP Joan Adon will get the nod for the wings tonight as the club looks to end their streak at 18 losses.

AS I WALK THROUGH THE VALLEY: With the loss last night, Rochester extends their franchise-record losing streak to 18 games...the MLB record, in the modern two-league era, for most consecutive losses is 23 which was achieved by the 1961 Philadelphia Phillies...since the start of the streak:

- The Red Wings have been outscored 120-66, and out-homered 27-17.

- 15 of the 18 losses have been decided by three runs or less.

- Rochester is dead last in the International League in AVG/OBP/SLG (.225/.299/.366).

- Red Wings Pitchers have allowed the most earned runs (104).

- The team is tied for the third most errors (15), and has 5 multi-error games.

MULTI-RBI-LEY: C Riley Adams snapped an 0-for-11 streak, picking up the Wings' first hit in the fifth inning with a two-run shot, his fourth homer since joining the team on July 1...since that date, the California-native ranks second on the club in homers (4), third in RBI (12), sixth in hits (18), and leads the way in doubles (7)...Adams recorded the sole multi-RBI performance on the club.

ANDREW HOMER-SON: With his ninth homer with the Wings this season (T-2nd behind Joey Meneses; 20), LF Andrew Stevenson extended his on-base streak to eight games...he was one of four players to collect a hit yesterday, going 1-for-4 with a home run, an RBI and a run...this marks his second long ball (third extra-base hit) in the first seven games in August, poking just one homer and five total XBH in July (19 G).

CALL ME MAYBE: In his first game with the team, CF Alex Call collected the Wings' third hit, and third homer, of the night with a sixth-inning solo-shot...he is the third player this season to homer in their Red Wings debut and first since Alcides Escobar did so on June 15 (at SWB)...the Minnesota-native has appeared in 12 Big League games this season with Cleveland (2-for-12, .167) and collected 11 homers and 46 RBI in 71 games with Triple-A Columbus (67-for-239, .280).

REED MY LIPS: Since rejoining the Red Wings on 7/28, RHP Reed Garrett has pitched 6.0 innings (five G) without allowing an earned run...with three punch outs last night, he has a 9.0 K/9 over that stretch (six Ks)...the Virginia-native's 3.27 ERA is good for fourth-best on the active roster.

BANANA CLIP-PARD: RHP Tyler Clippard has pitched 4.0 innings across three outings since beginning his rehab assignment on 8/5...a leaping grab by SS CJ Abrams saved Clippard from allowing a run, having not done so since 7/3...the MLB-veteran now has a 2.23 ERA in the Minors this season.

AD-ON THE HILL: In hopes of snapping the 18-game losing streak, Rochester sends RHP Joan Adon to the mound tonight...the Santo Domingo-native hasn't appeared in a game since 7/7 (w/ WSH) and has only logged two games with the Wings this season...in Adon's most recent appearance, he allowed just one run, scattering four hits while punching out three batters across 5.0 innings of work.

BUCK WILD: The manager for the Norfolk Tides, Buck Britton, is a former Rochester Red Wing who played 73 games in the flower city in 2016...during his time in Rochester, the California-native batted .194 (49-for-253) while poking three homers, a triple and, 13 doubles...the 2008 Baltimore Oriole draftee logged 828 games in the minors, spanning nine seasons across eight teams...his brother, Zack Britton, has pitched 439 games at the major league level and even made his Triple-A debut with Norfolk in 2010.
