WHEN SAINTS CRY : The Rochester Red Wings came out victorious against St. Paul last night, evening the series at one game apiece with a 7-5 win...this was Rochester's first win on the road at St. Paul since they became a Triple-A affiliate in 2021, and their first victory in the state of Minnesota since 1955...CF ALEX CALL ripped a two-RBI double in the second inning to increase his league-leading extra-base hit streak to four games...C BRADY LINDSLY also accounted for two of Rochester's runs in the contest, stroking an opposite-field RBI single in the second inning and later scoring another run on a groundout for his first multi-RBI game since 9/23/2023 at Indianapolis (PIT)...RHP RICO GARCIA tossed 2.0 innings of shutout ball in the eighth and ninth innings to close the door on the Red Wings win, securing his first save since 6/15/2023 with Las Vegas (OAK)...the Red Wings look to take the series lead tonight, sending LHP DJ HERZ to the mound against Saints RHP Caleb Boushley.

SEVEN-UP: The Red Wings have scored at least seven runs in each of their last three games, dating back to the final game of the series against Toledo (4/21)...this is the first time the Red Wings have done so since 5/17-19 against Buffalo in 2023...

23 runs since 4/21 is tied with Jacksonville (MIA) for most in the International League.

CALL(ING) ALL CARS: CF ALEX CALL paced the Wings offense last night, going 2-for-4 with a double, two RBI, and two runs scored...the Ball State alum has six runs and eight RBI in his last four games, including a four-game RBI streak which ties for second in the International League behind RF TRAVIS BLANKENHORN ...after Blankenhorn failed to collect an extra-base hit last night, Call now also holds the IL lead with an extra-base hit in four straight games.

MAMBO NO. 5: 1B JUAN YEPEZ collected two hits in the victory yesterday, extending his hitting streak to a season-high five games (8-for-21 since 4/19)...the Venezuela native has two hits in each of his last three games, and his six hits are tied for second-most in the International League over that span...three-straight multi-hit games is also currently tied for most in the IL...

Yepez currently has 22 base hits in his first 20 games of the season, the most to start a season at the Triple-A level in his career.

LUCKY NUMBER 13: 2B DARREN BAKER finished the night 1-for-5, extending his on-base streak to 13 games...this is tied for the seventh-longest streak in the International League...it is also the second-longest active streak on the Red Wings, one game behind 3B CARTER KIEBOOM .

THE HUNGER JAMES: LF JAMES WOOD ripped a double down the left field line and came around to score in the fifth inning last night, part of a 1-for-4 night...the two-bagger propelled Wood into the top three in the International League in doubles (T-3rd, 8) and top five in runs scored (T-5th, 18).

Wood's eight doubles are the most he has hit in a 20-game span in his career, hitting .300 (24-for-80) and slugging .475 in that span.

OUR FEARLESS LEADER : RF TRAVIS BLANKENHORN went 1-for-3 on Wednesday night with an RBI, a walk, and a run scored...the reigning International League Player of the Week has put together a five-game hitting streak (8-for-19 since 4/19) as well as a five-game RBI streak, the latter of which currently leads the IL...

Blankenhorn currently ranks in the top 10 in the International League in slugging percentage (5th, .658), OPS (5th, 1.078), RBI (T-6th, 19), and total bases (T-6th, 50).

GARCIA LATER: RHP RICO GARCIA closed the door for the Red Wings in relief last night, securing the victory with 2.0 scoreless innings, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out three batters...this outing extended Garcia's scoreless outing streak to five games dating back to 4/11 at Buffalo... throughout the streak, Garcia has thrown 8.0 scoreless innings in relief, allowing one hit and six walks while striking out 12 batters...Garcia's streak is tied for the third-longest active scoreless appearances streak in the International League and is the longest active Red Wings streak.
