Rochester Razorsharks Sign Two Front Court Players

Rochester, NY. The ABA Rochester RazorSharks professional basketball team today announced the signing of two players to bolster the front court of the team. Alvin Jefferson, a 6'9" center/power forward and Eric Walton, a 6'8" forward, have agreed to terms with Rochester and will join the team immediately.

Jefferson a 31-year old native of Juliette, GA, played for the Nebraska Cranes of the USBL, leading the team to the league's playoff semi-finals by averaging 6.9 points per game and 6.5 rebounds. The former Auburn University athlete has played eight seasons of professional basketball including ABA clubs Ontario, Long Beach, St. Louis and Tampa Bay. Jefferson has also played overseas in Switzerland, Austria, Luxembourg and Lebanon.

Walton comes to the RazorSharks from the Niagara Daredevils. Walton scored 36 points against Rochester in their only meeting of the season on Thanksgiving night. The native of Pensacola, FL has played professionally in France and Argentina. Walton, who competed at the collegiate level in track and field in both the high jump and long jump, led San Jose State in scoring and rebounds his senior season in 2003-2004. The RazorSharks return home to The Blue Cross Arena for a Saturday night game against the Maryland Nighthawks at 735pm.
