Wichita, KS (January 2nd) - The Central Hockey League announced Thursday that Thunder forward Matt Robinson has been named as the Oakley Three Stars Player of the Month for December. This is the second league honor earned by the veteran forward this week. He was selected as the Oakley CHL Player of the Week on Monday for the period ending on December 29th. Along with Robinson, St. Charles goaltender Robby Moss was named as the number two star and Winston Day Chief of Rapid City took the third star.

Robinson finished the month with 25 points and now sits in third place overall in the Three Stars race (32 points). He was named the number one star in five of the team's 11 games throughout the month. He earned that honor in three consecutive games including back-to-back contests this past weekend against St. Charles. Robinson recorded 15 points (6g, 9a) in December and had a six-game point-streak during the month. Over a four-game span, he registered three points three times in including a three-assist night in St. Charles on December 14th.

The South Surrey, British Columbia native was named the Oakley CHL Player of the Week on Monday afternoon. He totaled six points (3g, 3a), was a +4 and had two game-winning-goals during the Thunder's three wins a week ago.

The eight-year pro is one goal shy of 100 for his Thunder career . Robinson would be just the fifth player in team history to hit the century mark. He collected back-to-back game-winning goals last weekend and now has 24 in a Thunder uniform. He is tied with Daniel Tetrault in eighth place all-time in a Thunder uniform as both players have 176 total points in Thunder blue.

Robinson will receive a special gift from Oakley. To learn more about Oakley's wide range of products, visit www.oakley.com.
