
Roanoke Acquires Riley Spraggs from Pensacola

ROANOKE, VA - The Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs have traded forward Massimo Lamacchia to the Pensacola Ice Flyers in exchange for forward Riley Spraggs. The deal came prior to Monday's SPHL trade deadline.
Roanoke will be Spraggs' third SPHL team this season. The rookie forward opened the year with the Columbus Cottonmouths and had six goals and seven assists over 17 games played before being traded to Pensacola on December 21. Over 22 games played with the Ice Flyers, Spraggs had netted 13 goals to go with nine assists.
At the time of the trade, Spraggs led Pensacola with 35 points and 19 goals. He is tied for sixth in the SPHL in points and fifth in goals.
Lamacchia had been with the Rail Yard Dawgs for the entirety of the 2016-17 season, appearing in 41 games with 14 goals and 22 assists.
The Rail Yard Dawgs will hit the ice on Tuesday in Fayetteville to take on the FireAntz. Puck drop is scheduled for 7:30 PM at the Crown Coliseum .
