
Roadrunners Win Streak Snapped

ROBSTOWN, TEXAS ---- The Edinburg Roadrunners snapped their four-game win streak with an 8-2 loss at the hands of the Costal Bend Thunder on Monday night at Fairgrounds Field.
Aaron Guerra (0-2) picked up his second loss of the season after he allowed four runs on six hits while striking out six hitters in four and two-third innings of work.
Coastal Bend (14-11) scored four runs before the Roadrunners (12-13) posted a run in the top of the sixth against former Edinburg Coyotes pitcher Toro Trevino.
Bryan Heaston, Eric McGough, and Brian Martin combined for three and a third innings of relief and allowed four runs on six hits. The Roadrunners' pitching staff allowed the Thunder to score at least one run in six consecutive innings.
Trevino (3-1) allowed one run while scattering six hits in six innings for his third win of the season.
The Roadrunners and Thunder will play the second game of the four-game series on Tuesday night at Fairgrounds Field with the first pitch scheduled for 7:05 p.m.
