
Roadrunners Defeat Crunch in Overtime

SYRACUSE, NY - Nate DiCasmirro scored his second goal of the game 2:09 into overtime as the Toronto Roadrunners defeated the Syracuse Crunch 7-6 on Saturday night at the War Memorial at Oncenter.
The Roadrunners had a 6-3 lead after two periods, but the Crunch battled back to tie the game in the third period, scoring three goals in a span of 4:46.
J.J. Hunter and Nate DiCasmirro each had two goals and one assist to lead the Roadrunners offensively against the Crunch. Chad Hinz, Jani Rita, and Jamie Wright also scored for Toronto.
Jamie Pushor, Joe Motzko, Brad Moran, Tyler Sloan, and Scott Cameron, with a pair, scored goals for Syracuse.
In goal, Michael Morrison made 27 saves for Toronto, while Pascal Leclaire stopped 30 shots for Syracuse.
On special teams, Toronto scored a shorthanded goal and was 2 for 6 on the power play. Syracuse was 1 for 3 with the man advantage.
The Roadrunners return to action tomorrow night when they take on the Rochester Americans at Blue Cross Arena.
Toronto's next home action will take place on Sunday, January 25, when they host the Rochester Americans at 5:00 p.m.
