
Road Warriors Assigned Two from Hartford

Greenville, SC - The Greenville Road Warriors, proud ECHL affiliate of the New York Rangers and AHL's Hartford Wolf Pack, today announced goaltender Jason Missiaen and defenseman Sam Noreau have been assigned to the team from Hartford by New York.
Missiaen, 24, signed a one-year contract with New York on July 3rd and began the season in Hartford, making four appearances for the Wolf Pack. Last season, the Chatham, Ontario native played 21 games for the Road Warriors and posted a 14-6-1 record with a 2.76 goals against average, .919 save percentage and one shutout. He also received two separate call-ups to New York to backup Henrik Lundqvist and played 14 games with Hartford during the 2013-14 campaign.
A 6'8", 206-pound netminder, Missiaen made his professional debut with the Road Warriors during the 2011-12 season and went 22-13-3 with a 2.71 goals against average, .916 save percentage and a career-best three shutouts. He also played 25 games for the AHL's Connecticut Whale in 2012-13.
Missiaen was drafted in the fourth round (#116 overall) by the Montreal Canadiens in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
Noreau, 21, began the season with Hartford and recorded 13 penalty minutes in four games. The Montreal, Quebec native made his pro debut with the Road Warriors last season and played 61 games producing 10 points (1g, 9a) and a +16 rating. Noreau also played five games with Hartford during the 2013-14 campaign.
Before signing with the Rangers and beginning his professional career, the 6'5", 223-pound defenseman played four seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (2009-2013) and amassed 63 points (18g, 45a) with 314 penalty minutes in 225 games.
Noreau was drafted in the fifth round (#136 overall) by the Rangers in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
