Rivets Game Against Kalamazoo Postponed to Later Date

Kalamazoo, Mi. - Fifteen minutes before first pitch on Tuesday night at Homer Stryker Field, a huge rain storm rolled into Kalamazoo. In its wake, it left an unplayable field for the game between the Rockford Rivets (18-16) and the Kalamazoo Growlers (24-11), and a forced postponement by the league office.
The new date for the game has not yet been announced, but fans can expect it to be on either July 14th or July 15th, the next two times the Rivets are scheduled to play in Kalamazoo. It will turn one of those days into a doubleheader between the two squads.
Rockford returns to Rivets Stadium tomorrow for a four-game home stand starting against the Wisconsin Woodchucks. First pitch is scheduled for 3:05 PM at Rivets Stadium. Tickets are only $4 in honor of the Fourth of July.
