
Rivet Added to Bucks' Legends Night

LAREDO, TX- The Laredo Bucks of the Central Hockey League announced that former team captain Adam Rivet has been added to the first-ever Legends Night at Saturday's (Oct 23rd) home opener at Laredo Energy Arena. Group tickets start at just $10, call 718-BUCK (2825) to order now.
Bucks' legends that are returning to Laredo that night are Chris Grenville, Steve Simoes, Mike Amodeo, Igor Agarunov, Paul Elliott, Ladislav Kouba, and Adam Rivet.
During the game the Bucks will honor the legends on the ice as well as with video tributes on the jumbo tron.
Also during the game fans can vote for the legend that they want to be the first member of the new Laredo Bucks Hall of Fame. The first member of the hall of fame will be determined by combination of the fan vote, legends vote and Bucks front office staff vote. More information on the Bucks Hall of Fame will be announced in the coming weeks.
BUCKS LEGENDS' BIOGRAPHIES
Chris Grenville (2002-2004, 2005-06): Two-Time CHL All-Star Chris Grenville is one of the greatest players in Laredo Bucks history. Grenville, an original Buck, played three seasons in Laredo and helped lead the franchise to two CHL President's Cup Championships.
Grenville's name is near the top of the Bucks record books in several categories. In 181 regular season games with Laredo he is in the top five in franchise history in goals (120), assists (124) and points (244), as well as in the top five in several single season records. Grenville's 120 career Bucks goals stood as a franchise record from 2006-2008, while his 45 goals during the 2003-04 campaign was the top franchise mark until 2007-08.
Grenville, from Thorold, Ontario, performed well in the postseason as he scored 43 points (21-2243) in 41 career playoff games with the Bucks.
Steve Simoes (2003-2008): Steve Simoes is one of the most popular players in Laredo Bucks history. Simoes played five seasons in Laredo and helped lead the franchise to two CHL President's Cup Championships.
In 238 regular season games with the Bucks Simoes picked up 132 points (53-79132) and piled up 369 PIM's and a plus-57 rating. Simoes, nicknamed "The Mayor", is known for his aggressive style of play and delivering punishing hits to opposing players.
Simoes, from Brossard, Quebec, had 34 points in 14-2034) in 80 career postseason games in Laredo.
Mike Amodeo (2003-04): Mike Amodeo is one of the most feared Laredo Bucks players in history. Amodeo played one season in Laredo and helped lead the franchise to their first President's Cup Championship in 2004.
Amodeo holds the record for most PIM's in a season in Bucks history by picking up 300 in the 2003-04 campaign. That season Amodeo picked up 36 points (16-2036) and was a plus-19 in 49 games.
Amodeo, from Hamilton, Ontario, had seven points (3-47) and 46 PIM's during the Bucks 2004 title run.
Igor Agarunov (2004-2010): Igor Agarunov is one of the most popular players in Laredo Bucks history. Agarunov played six seasons in Laredo and helped lead the Bucks to their second President's Cup Championship in 2006.
Agarunov is third all-time in Bucks history with 345 games played. He up a total of 145 points (68-77145), with a +60 rating.
Agarunov, from Grand Forks, British Columbia, was the hero of the Bucks 4-3 come from behind win in Game Five of the Finals, which clinched the Bucks second championship. Agarunov scored two goals, including the game winner with 2:05 left in regulation to complete the 4-3 come from behind President's Cup capturing victory.
Paul Elliott (2004-2008, 2010): Paul Elliott is considered by many one of the greatest leaders in Laredo Bucks history. Elliott played five seasons in Laredo and helped lead the Bucks to their second President's Cup Championship in 2006.
In 274 games with the Bucks Elliott had 83 points (15-6883) and picked up 222 PIM's to go along with a plus-67 rating.
In 69 career playoff games with the Bucks Elliott, from Surrey, British Columbia, had 22 points 4-1822) and 40 PIM's.
Ladislav Kouba (2005-2007): Ladislav Kouba was a key member of the Bucks' 2006 Championship team. Kouba played one and a half seasons in Laredo.
In 98 career games with the Bucks Kouba put up 75 points (38-3775) with a plus 43 rating and 72 PIM's.
Kouba, from Vimperk, Czech Republic, had 11 points (6-511) in the Bucks' 16 playoff games in 2006 to help lead them to their second championship.
Adam Rivet (2005-2010): Two-time CHL All-Star Adam Rivet is considered one of the best defensemen in Laredo Bucks history. Rivet played five seasons in Laredo and was a key member of the Bucks' 2006 Championship team.
Rivet's name is all over the Bucks record book as he is fourth all-time in games played (315), fifth all-time in goals (77), fourth all-time in assists (145) and fifth all-time in points (222). Rivet missed just one regular season game in his five seasons with the Bucks.
Rivet, the Bucks' captain in 2009-10, was named to the 2005-06 CHL All-Rookie team and was a finalist for the 2007-08 CHL Most Outstanding Defensemen award.
In 61 career playoff games Rivet, from Fort Erie, Ontario, picked up 40 points (7-3340).
PUBLIC SKATE OPEN HOUSE FRIDAY OCT. 22nd
The night before the home opener on Friday October 22nd the Bucks will host a public skate open house at Laredo Energy Arena from 6:30-9:30pm. Admission to the public skate is FREE and it costs $5 for a 45 minute skating session.
The Bucks' legends and the entire 2010-11 Bucks team will be at the public skate to sign autographs and take pictures with fans. Bucks fans will also get their first glimpse of the Cricket Mayor's Cup as it will be on hand at the skate also. Bucks staff will be available to answer questions about purchasing season, group or single game tickets.
Season ticket holders will get a FREE HOT DOG AND SODA during the public skate (while supplies last). There will also be a special season ticket holder's area that night.
