Allen Americans News Release

The Allen Americans, in conjunction with NextMedia Group, have announced an agreement which will include the broadcast of all regular season and postseason games, home and road, for the 2010-11 season.

With the agreement in place, fans will now be able to catch all the exciting action online at 975klak.com, madrock1025.com or 931kmkt.com, along with weekly coaches shows. Dallas/Fort Worth radio veteran Tommy Daniels will once again provide the play-by-play, with Jarrod Yost providing the color commentary.

KLAK Program Director and Morning Host Johnny B said the station is looking forward to the partnership. "We are excited to be broadcasting the Allen Americans Professional Hockey Team across our 3 stations, and proud to be a partner of the Americans," Johnny B said. "Coach Dwight Mullins and his entire staff are a first rate organization, and we can't wait to be associated with that great hockey team in Allen."

Hank McMonigle, Vice President/Market Manager of NextMedia Group commented on the ability of the partnership to help both sides.

"We now have the technology that allows us to develop multiple channels that can spread the excitement of Allen Americans Hockey beyond the arena," McMonigle said. "NextMedia is proud to be affiliated with this opportunity to benefit the team, our brands and most importantly the fans of the 2009-2010 Champion Allen Americans."

Americans team president Matt Canavan remarked that the move is a step forward for the team and the community.

The first regular season broadcast for the Americans on the NextMedia family of stations will be October 15th, at the Allen Event Center, when the Americans take on the Fort Worth Brahmas.
