Oakley CHL Goaltender of the Week Announced

TEMPE, AZ (October 19, 2010) -The Central Hockey League announced today that Tulsa goaltender Trevor Cann has been named the Oakley Central Hockey League Goaltender of the Week for the period ending October 17, 2010.

The Oakville, Ontario native had an impressive opening weekend winning both his starts pushing the Oilers into a tie for first place in the Berry Conference. Cann stopped 59 of 63 shots faced for a .937 save percentage. On Friday, he made 24 saves in Tulsa's 4-3 home opener, win over Wichita, and then followed that up with a 35-save effort in his team's 4-1 victory in the Thunder's home opener.

The 47th overall pick by the Colorado Avalanche in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft played in the NHL's 2010 preseason with the Avs and spent time in the American Hockey League with Lake Erie last season playing 13 games. For Tulsa during the 2009-10 season, the 5-11, 180-pound netminder went 11-6-1 with a 2.81 goals against average.
