Macon Trax News Release

[Macon, Ga.]-- Macon Trax Hockey Club General Manager Joe Suk and John Shoemaker of Riverside Ford are excited to announce the “Riverside Ford High School Team of the Week.” Any high school team, not restricted to only sports teams, may be considered for the award.

A “team” is defined as being any team, group or club that competes in events and represents their school at a high level. Chorus, Debate Team, Math Club, School Band, Cheerleading Team, Dance Team, Science Club, etc. are all invited to apply for the “Riverside Ford High School Team of the Week.”

In addition to performance at the competitions other factors included for the award are how much they volunteer their time to a good cause (charity), school attendance and overall “personality.”

The weekly winner will be invited to attend a Macon Trax Home Game (up to 20 team members) where they will be recognized in an intermission promotion on the ice, on board a beautiful Riverside Ford Truck. While riding the truck, the winning team members will throw great prizes into the crowd, compliments of Riverside Ford

To be considered for the weekly award, a representative from each “Team” must tell the Macon Trax and Riverside Ford why they deserve the award. Send entries to Joe Suk by email to jsuk@macontrax.com, by faxed to (478) 746-4625 or by mail to the Macon Trax Hockey office at: 200 Coliseum Drive-Macon, GA 31217.

Once the entries are received, John Shoemaker from Riverside Ford and the Macon Trax will select and notify the weekly winner. Please tell us what school you represent, what type of team that you represent, and why we should consider you?

Do not forget to get your tickets now for the Trax home opening weekend. The home opener is Saturday, Nov. 22 versus the Alabama Slammers. The game starts at 7:35 pm. Get there early to get your Burger King magnet schedule!
