Mississippi RiverKings News Release
SOUTHAVEN, Miss.âThe Memphis RiverKings will visit Chick-Fil-A in Southaven as part of the restaurant's community "Kid's Night" on Tuesday, Nov. 18 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
Every Tuesday, the restaurant provides an activity or project for children to work on, whether that means a coloring sheet, arts and crafts, a costume contest or providing a clown or balloon artist to entertain children.
"This week, the RiverKings will be our activity," said Vicki Moore, Unit Marketing Director for the Southaven location. "The kids will have an opportunity meet the guys and hang out with Sheldon, the RiverKings mascot."
The restaurant also hosts "Read & Eat Night," led by the Southaven Library children's librarian. Moore said many children have to quit going to the library for story time when school starts, and "Read & Eat" helps fill that void for busy families.
"These evenings are a service to the community, when families can have a low-cost meal together, the kids can have something to do, and adults can visit together," Moore said. "We try to provide fun things that are also educational."
Families who visit the store on Tuesday to see the RiverKings will also receive a free ice cream cone with the purchase of their meal.
All 64 RiverKings games can be heard on Easy 680 AM, as well as worldwide via SportsJuice.com. Select RiverKings games will also be available through CHL TV, a league-wide video streaming enterprise. CHL TV is available at www.CHLTV.com. Information on the RiverKings, including the latest roster moves, press releases, and pictures, is available at www.riverkings.com.
