
Riversharks Win Streak Grows to Four

Camden Riversharks News Release
Eddy Camacho pitched six effective innings allowing just two runs as the Riversharks took down the Somerset Patriots for the second consecutive night by the final score of 6-2. With the victory, Camden now has their longest winning streak of the season at four.
Camacho (3-0) surrendered just six hits and did not walk a batter in the game while striking out a season-high five batters.
Brian Burgamy got the 'Sharks off to a strong start in the top of the 1st when he hit his 8th home run of the season, a solo shot, to give Camden a 1-0 lead.
Somerset (20-33) tied up the score at 1-1 in the home half of the first when Fernando Cortez scored on Danny Richar's throwing error.
The Riversharks grabbed the lead back in the top of the 3rd at 2-1 on Lloyd Turner's two-out, RBI single that plated Ruddy Yan.
Turner was 2-for-5 with an RBI on the game and now has an 11-game hitting streak.
Toby Hall extended the 'Sharks lead to 4-1 in the top of the 4th with a sacrifice fly that brought home Ruddy Yan.
Camden (21-32) broke it open in the 5th against starter Bill Pulsipher. The Riversharks had five hits in the inning including RBI singles by Brian Burgamy and Pedro Feliz to give the 'Sharks a 6-1 lead.
Pulsipher (2-4) went the first five innings allowing six runs on nine hits and took the loss.
Michael Hernandez brought the Patriots back within four runs at 6-2 in the bottom of the 5th when he connected with his team-leading eighth home run.
