Wives and girlfriends of Rivermen players are joining ladies around the American Hockey League and National Hockey League in support of a special fundraising effort to help the families of the Lokomotiv Yaroslavl team that were affected by the tragic plane crash that took place on Sept. 7 in Russia.

Former Blues Pavol Demitra and Igor Korolev were among the players who died in the crash.

Rivermen wives and girlfriends will sell red silicone bracelets for $10 each at the Saturday, Oct. 8 home opener against Milwaukee. Proceeds from the bracelets will go to the families of the Lokomotiv Yaroslavl team. They can be purchased on the concourse behind Section 9.
