Peoria Rivermen News Release
The Peoria Rivermen will be turning back the clock to 1991 prices for a limited time on Friday for their game against the Rockford IceHogs. From 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Peoria Civic Center box office, fans will be able to purchase tickets at 1990-91 prices: $8 lower bowl end tickets or $5 upper bowl tickets.
The special discounted prices are only available in person at the box office for the 4-hour window and are valid for only that night's game.
It's all part of the Rivermen celebrating the 25th anniversary of their 1991 Turner Championship over the Fort Wayne Komets. The first 2,500 fans will receive a commemorative canvas featuring Dave Thomlinson hoisting the cup following the victory.
The team will also be wearing replica jerseys from the 1990-91 season that will be auctioned off after the game. The auction will take place on the ice immediately following the game and all proceeds from the auction will benefit the Children's Hospital of Illinois.
