B-Sens Reassign Tifu to Elmira, Sign Snetsinger to PTO

BINGHAMTON, N.Y. - The Binghamton Senators announced today that they have reassigned forward Yannick Tifu to the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.

Tifu, 26, was recalled by the B-Sens on Feb. 22, playing in last night's 4-1 victory over the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. In six games with the B-Sens, Tifu has registered an assist.

The native of Brossard, Que. has appeared in 46 games with Elmira this season. He currently ranks second overall on the Jackals in scoring with 51 points (16 goals, 35 assists), has amassed 82 penalty minutes and is a plus-ten.

Additionally the B-Sens have signed forward Brad Snetsinger to a professional try-out contract.

Snetsinger, 23, joins the B-Sens from the Bakersfield Condors (ECHL), where he leads the team in scoring with 44 points (16 goals, 28 assists) in 52 games. He also leads the Condors in power play goals (five) and shots on goal (194).

The 6-2, 190-pound Snetsinger spent the 2009-10 season with the American Hockey League's Lowell Devils, appearing in 57 games and recording 18 points (five goals, 13 assists)

The native of Ajax, Ont. played five seasons in the Ontario Hockey League with the Mississauga IceDogs and Windsor Spitfires. In 253 OHL games, he collected 211 points, scoring 105 goals and adding 106 assists.

The Binghamton Senators travel to Syracuse to play the Crunch at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow night. Fans can listen live on 680 WINR-AM or 1430 WENE-AM beginning 30 minutes before game time for Countdown to Faceoff with Grady Whittenburg, the voice of the B-Sens.
