RUNNING IN THE HALL
Peoria is being led in scoring this year by center Timmy Hall, who has 11 points on seven goals and four assists through 12 games in his first SPHL season. Hall played last year in Denmark where he posted two goals and three assists in 11 games, and before that he spent parts of two seasons with the Colorado Eagles in the ECHL, notching two goals and six assists in 17 total games.
BUILDING UP THE GREAT WALL(IN)
Last weekend the Rivermen got a pair of game-winning goals from rookie forward Terrence Wallin, who had gone without a goal in his first eight professional games. Through 10 games this year Wallin now has two goals and two assists without being whistled for a penalty.
THE MASKED MAN
Rivermen goaltender Kyle Rank gave up just three goals over two games against Macon last weekend and now leads all qualifying SPHL goaltenderswith a 2.04 GAA. Rank is also third in the leage with a .927 save percentage this season among goalies with at least 240 minutes played. Rank is 6-0-1 in net since Peoria's November 3 regulation loss at Mississippi.
THE WHOLE SHOOTING MATCH
This season the Rivermen have out-shot their opponents by nearly double in the first period of games this season, 145-96. In the second period of games, the Rivermen are being out-shot 123-133 and Peoria is out-shooting opponents 115-104. So far this season the Peoria offense ranks fourth with 32.08 shots on goal per game, while the Rivermen lead the SPHL with 28.00 shots on goal against per game.
WHAT'S AHEAD
After tonight the Rivermen continue their road trip with a trip to Southaven, Mississippi for games Friday and Saturday night against the Mississippi RiverKings. After that, the Rivermen return home for a pair of games December 11 & 12 against the RiverKings at Carver Arena before going on the road again to Columbus December 18&19 Huntsville 12/20.
