
Rivermen Announce Home Playoff Dates

PEORIA, Ill. (April 13, 2009) - The Houston Aeros snuck into the third spot in the West Division and have drawn the Peoria Rivermen in the opening round of the 2009 Calder Cup Playoffs. Peoria, who finished with 43 wins and 92 points, will have home ice in the first round and host the Aeros on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in game one.
Game two will be held at Carver Arena on Friday, April 17 before the series shifts to Houston for games three, four and five (if necessary). If the series requires a sixth or seventh game they will be played in Peoria on Saturday, April 25 and Monday April 27 at 7 p.m.
Due to the Houston Rockets' (NBA) undetermined playoff schedule, the Aeros have been unable to set dates for the games held at the Toyota Center.
Tickets are now on sale for all Rivermen home playoff games can be purchased at the Rivermen office or the Peoria Civic Center box office.
Ticket prices will remain the same; $20 in the lower bowl and $15 in the upper bowl. Discounted tickets are available for groups of 20 or more through the Rivermen office by calling 309-676-1040. Playoff packages are also being sold in order to give fans the ability to lock in seats and discounted prices for all potential 16 games.
The dates and times of the best-of-seven series between the Peoria Rivermen and Houston Aeros is outlined below:
