Stars re-assign Fistric to Moose

The Dallas Stars announced today they have re-assigned defenceman Mark Fistric to the Manitoba Moose.

This season, Fistric, 22, played in 35 games with the Moose where he collected eight assists and 26 penalty minutes. The Edmonton, AB native collected a pair of assists in one game Jan. 14/09 vs. Milwaukee. He has played in 145 career games with Manitoba and the Iowa Stars where he has 37 points (3-34-37) and 157 penalty minutes

Fistric also appeared in 36 games this season with the Stars after being recalled on Feb. 14/09. He collected four assists and 42 penalty minutes. In 73 career games in Dallas, Fistric has six assists and 66 penalty minutes, along with nine games in the Stanley Cup playoffs in 2008 where he picked up eight penalty minutes.

Fistric was drafted in the first round by the Stars, 28th overall, in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft.
