RiverKings Season Tickets Released Monday, October 4th

SOUTHAVEN, MS --- The Mississippi RiverKings of the Central Hockey League (CHL) have announced that season ticket holders will be able to begin receiving their ticket packages and parking passes on Monday, October 4th, at 9:00 AM.

The tickets and passes will be available in the RiverKings' offices in the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven during regular office hours of 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Fans who are not able to come to the RiverKings offices during the week may also pick up their packages and passes on Saturday, October 9th during the team's Fan Fest event. Season tickets will be available on the North side of the DeSoto Civic Center between the hours of 12 Noon to 4:00 PM on Saturday. Between 4:00 PM and the 6:05 PM start of the exhibition game between the RiverKings and Bossier-Shreveport; packages will be available for pickup in the Grand Hall on the West side of the Civic Center.

When the packages are received, RiverKings season ticket holders will also get one ticket voucher for each exhibition game for each season ticket purchased. They will also receive two "Bring-A-Buddy" vouchers to each game to bring a friend to the game with them. The vouchers are free to season ticket holders, but are not seat specific and must be redeemed at the DeSoto Civic Center box office prior to the game.

Season tickets remain on sale for the RiverKings season through the team offices at the DeSoto Civic Center in Southaven, or by calling 662-342-1755, where you can call for information on group tickets for individual RiverKings games. Also, individual game tickets for each home game remain available through the normal outlets, the DeSoto Civic Center box office in Southaven during normal business hours, through local Ticketmaster outlets, and through .

The arrival of season tickets and the beginning of the RiverKings pre-season training camp on Monday, October 4th ramps up an exciting week of anticipation for the team and its Mid-South fans, culminated by the weekend exhibition games against Bossier-Shreveport and the team's Fan Fest event set for Saturday, October 9th.

The day begins with the first RiverKings Fan Club-Assists for Autism 5K Run/Walk event, which will start on the DeSoto Civic Center grounds in Southaven. Registration will begin Saturday morning at 7:30 AM with the run getting underway at 9:00 AM.

The cost to participants will be $20.00 per runner. In return, they will receive an event tee-shirt, one ticket to one of the weekend's exhibition games against Bossier-Shreveport, and valuable coupons to area restaurants.

All proceeds from the event will support the RiverKings' "Assists for Autism" program in DeSoto County. Following the run, participants and supporters are welcome to enjoy the Fan Fest activities on the Civic Center grounds.

Those activities will include a "bounce house" for youngsters on the North side of the Civic Center along with food and fun for those attending. RiverKings players and Head Coach Kevin "Killer" Kaminski will be on hand to meet fans and sign autographs during the afternoon before the game.

The weekend will wrap up with the second exhibition contest between the RiverKings and Bossier-Shreveport on Sunday afternoon, October 10th, beginning at 3:05 PM at the DeSoto Civic Center. Mississippi will have one more exhibition game, at Evansville on Monday, October 11th, before the start of the regular season at Bossier-Shreveport on Friday night, October 15th and the Home Opener on Saturday, October 16th, also against Bossier-Shreveport.
