RiverKings Release Opening Night Roster

Southaven, Miss. -The Mississippi RiverKings of the Southern Professional Hockey League (SPHL), have submitted a 19-man roster that will start the regular season against the Pensacola Ice Flyers on Saturday, October 22nd at the Desoto Civic Center. Mississippi Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Derek Landmesser has also determined who will act as team captain.

Forward Darrell Stoddard, who returns to Mississippi for his seventh season in a RiverKings uniform, was just named team captain for the upcoming 20th Anniversary Season. Assistant Captains will be determined and announced on/before the Home Opener this Saturday.

While 18 players are the maximum allowed on Southern Professional Hockey League rosters, the RiverKings currently have 19 skaters on the roster with one player on injured reserve (IR) for the first month of the season.

The following are the players who are on the RiverKings' opening night roster:
